HFG Global Support Services promotes the expansion of lessons learned, imparting best practices and sharing the behavior change communication tools created from the Kenya pilot with other PEPFAR-supported countries. HFG Global Support Services is managed by Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno), funded through a cooperative agreement with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Center for Global Health/Division of Global HIV/AIDS.
US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
CDC’s role is to provide financial and technical assistance support for The Partnership and its program activities.
Office of the US Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC)
OGAC’s role is to champion The Partnership and share results and best practices with PEPFAR programs across US government agencies. OGAC also serves as a gateway for global private sector entities interested in partnering with PEPFAR to advance HIV prevention outcomes for young people.
Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd.
HFG Global Support Services is supported by Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. with funding through the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). CDC’s cooperative agreement with Cardno supports the CDC’s Public-Private Partnerships in PEPFAR Countries (CDC P4).
The goal of HFG Global Support Services is to promote the integration of HIV-Free Generation’s communication materials and tools within existing PEPFAR prevention efforts contributing to a reduction of new infections among youth people aged 10-24.
HFG Global Support Services provides assistance in:
- Supporting the integration of behavior change communication materials and tools into existing PEPFAR prevention efforts
- Organizing and convening experts to advise on topics relevant to private sector programming for HIV prevention
- Offering a menu of behavior change communication tools and materials for country programs
- Maintaining a repository of all HIV-Free Generation tools, materials, and other relevant data
- Serving as a resource center for evidence, lessons learned and best practices in private sector programming for global youth-focused HIV prevention efforts, and
- Providing technical assistance to country teams and private sector representatives in the development of country-specific monitoring and evaluation frameworks and indicators
